Wasco Nursery & Garden Center is located in Saint Charles, IL about 6 miles west of Randall Rd. at 41W781 Route 64. Wasco Nursery was founded in 1925 by Lynn Jay. The original farm was located on La Fox Rd., just south of Wasco, and consisted of about twenty acres. Although he was originally a farmer, Lynn started in the nursery business by growing "hardy trees with local roots" to sell to fellow farmers.
Today Wasco Nursery is owned and operated by; Matt Zerby and Robert L. Jay (retired), and consists of 3 farms totaling nearly 160 acres, a 10-acre retail garden center, full landscape design & installation services and is open year round. Wasco Nursery carries several hundred different varieties of trees, shrubs and evergreens ranging from old familiar favorites to the best new introductions. With the explosive growth in the Fox Valley area, Wasco Nursery is focused on their mission to provide area residents with high quality, locally grown plant and landscape material, expert advice as well as professional installation and design services.
